Nifty September futures trade at premium

The Nifty September 2023 futures closed at 19,666.20, a premium of 55.15 points compared with the Nifty's closing 19,611.05 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 rose 36.15 points or 0.18% to settle at 19,611.05.

The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of market's expectation of volatility over the near term, declined 1.27% to 10.68.

HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The September 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 28 September 2023.
