Nifty September futures trade at premium

The Nifty September 2023 futures closed at 19,767.05, a premium of 40 points compared with the Nifty's closing 19,727.05 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 rose 116 points or 0.59% to settle at 19,727.05.

The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of market's expectation of volatility over the near term, rose 1.82% to 10.87.

HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries (RIL) and Coal India were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The September 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 28 September 2023.
