Nifty September futures trade at premium

The Nifty September 2023 futures closed at 19,874, a premium of 54.05 points compared with the Nifty's closing 19,819.95 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 rose 92.90 points or 0.47% to settle at 19,819.95.

The NSE's India VIX, a gauge of market's expectation of volatility over the near term, declined 0.85% to 10.78.

Reliance Industries (RIL), HDFC Bank and Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The September 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 28 September 2023.
